Non Surgical Myopia Treatment-New Breakthrough

History of Digital Design Contact Lens

Ortho-K contact lens was first introduced in the 1960s' , with some certain deficient due to its simple explanation and complicated usage. In the 1990s', Ortho-K developed quickly and its applications got improved. With the development of Corneal Topographic Technology, Jeffrey Wang head of Web Optometry research unit and Furen Ophthalmology research unit invented Digital Ortho-K lens in 2001 after years of studious research, it was a brand-new method for myopic and astigmatism correction, and was well accepted by eye doctors and patients. At the same time, he developed digital design RGP lens, Keratoconus lens and the Special reverse geometry

RGP lens for patient after refractive surgery. These digital design need only the following data: 1.Corneal topographic Map with 3,5,7mm zone K readings, 2.Refractive prescriptions, 3.Corneal diameter and pupil diameter. These greatly simplified the usage of these optometry treatment.

Applicabilities:

•  The only choice for the youth under 18 that don't fit spectacles

•  A preferable solution for personnels over 18 that can' t take refractive surgeries.

•  An ideal method in the check-ups for school enrollment, job recruitment or joining the army.

•  The only choice for keratoconus correction

•  Comfortable for daytime wear.

•  Good method for people over 45 with myopia cum presbyopia.

•  Can be used for ametropia correction

•  Suitable for amblyopia correction in children

Safties:

•  It uses digital design to fit various patients.

•  Easy for fit and can avoid keratitis or other coreal complications.

•  Topography help to enhance the treatment efficiency.

Utilities:
